Hey! Say hello to the newly launched 2020 IPad Pro, Apple’s latest lineup in the IPad series. This is indeed the first IPad Pro that dares to replace your PC in Nigeria.
Am talking about an IPad Pro that display your cursor when you connect it with a mouse. Before now, can the IPad Pro works with a mouse? Then “No”. Now “Yes”.
Keep it in mind that you can even make the 2020 IPad Pro more powerful when you buy accessories like the new external keyboard and the Apple pen which are sold separately.
As expected, the 2020 IPad Pro comes with fantastic upgrades especially when you examine the camera, software, CPU, storage configuration and the little touch on the design.

Availability & Price
The 2020 IPad Pro comes in two variants and color options: 11inch & 12.9, Silver & Space Gray. If you are buying in Nigeria, you can order online or shop from an offline store near you.
The 2020 IPad Pro with 11inch display price begins at $799 (Wi-Fi) and $949 (Wi-Fi + Cellular) in USA. The bigger 12.9inch IPad Pro price begins at $999(Wi-Fi) and $1,149 (Wi-Fi + Cellular).
Design
I will begin by saying the 2020 IPad Pro is not that different from her previous gen design wise. They are in fact hard to differentiate except for the camera module at the back.
The 2020 IPad Pro has the same camera setup as the IPhone 11 in Nigeria but the camera quality is not the same. However, the design upgrades is more noticeable in her placements.
On the top, there are four speaker audio, three microphones and a top button. On the left is a microphone while the volume button, magnetic connector and Nano SIM tray are on the right.
On the lower part of the 2020 IPad Pro, there is a smart connector. You will also find up to four speaker audio at the bottom with the charging port in the middle.
In all, there are five studio-quality microphones for calls, video and audio recording. The audio quality is loud, has much clarity and the microphones now have better recordings too.
Display
The 2020 IPad Pro has a Liquid Retina 12.9-inch LED-backlit Multi Touch display with IPS technology. It has 2732 x 2048p resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi) with ProMotion Tech.
The display as we all know is a fully laminated display with wide color and true tone. It has up to 600nits brightness and an Antireflective coating with 1.8% reflectivity.
There is absolutely nothing much to say here as we all know how good the display of the IPad Pro have been from time immemorial. Well, the 2020 model even got better.
Camera
Apple also improved the Cameras on the 2020 IPad Pro. In front is a true depth 7MP camera f/2.2 aperture with Portrait mode, Portrait Lighting, Animoji and Memoji. It has a Retina flash.
At the back is the main camera that consist of a Wide 12MP f/1.8 aperture and a 10MP Ultra Wide lens with f/2.4 aperture. There is a Brighter True Tone flash to support.
The camera has 125° field of view and 2x optical zoom out plus 5x digital zoom in. Image captured appears in HEIF and JPEG formats.
Standard camera features like Panorama (up to 63MP), Hybrid IR filter, Exposure control, Noise reduction, Smart HDR for photos, Auto image stabilization, Burst mode, Timer mode and Photo geotagging are highly spotted here.
When it comes to video recording, the True depth camera can record up to 1080p HD video at 30 fps or 60 fps with support for Slow-mo video at 120fps or 240fps.
The main camera is also not left behind. It can shot 4K videos in Nigeria at 24 fps, 30fps and 60fps. It has Continuous autofocus, Noise reduction, Playback zoom, Video geotagging,Time lapse and Cinematic video stabilization.
It supports Slo mo video recording for 1080p at 120 fps or 240 fps (Wide); 240 fps (Ultra Wide). Videos recorded are captured in standard HEVC and H.264 formats.
Battery
The 2020 IPad Pro can give you up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi or watching videos in Nigeria with her built-in 36.71-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery.
Wi-Fi + Cellular models provides up to 9 hours of surfing the web using any cellular data network in Nigeria. All models(Wi-Fi & Wi-Fi + Cellular) supports charging via power adapter or USB-C to computer system.
Software & Specs
On the software scene there is the IPadOS 13.4 taking full control of the ecosystem here. It comes with powerful features and built-in apps designed to take advantage of the unique capabilities of the IPad.
On the spec sheet. The 2020 IPad pro nailed it quick, no wonder it responds so fast. The brain behind the remarkable speed here is the A12Z Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture and an embedded M12 coprocessor.
The IPad Pro 2020 is available in different storage configuration that begins at 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and goes up to 1TB. It also comes with essential kits like Face ID, LiDAR Scanner, Three-axis gyro, Accelerometer, Barometer and Ambient light sensor

My Thoughts
There is more reason to take a look at this new IPad. The new functionality is the most interesting – The IPad Pro now works with a mouse. Wow! That’s impressive.
Don’t forget that this is the first of its kind. An IPad that turns into a laptop ASAP! Is so incredible, you literally see the cursor moving around as you touch. The IOS swipe gesture works with the mouse too.
Truth be told, the design of the 2020 IPad Pro might not impress you that much if you have seen her previous gen before but come to think of her specs and software. Now, reconsider.
