Tesla Model Y Price in US & Nigeria

The Tesla Model Y comes in pearl white multi-coat, solid black, midnight silver metallic, deep blue metallic and red multi-coat. You can customize with different options but mind you, there are extra fees involved.

The Tesla Model Y price for the long-range model begins at $46,190 and $54,190 for the performance model in the US. In Nigeria, the equivalent about 18 million & 20.5 million respectively. We used ($1 = #380)

However, the Tesla Model Y is not coming to Nigeria or any country in Africa. This is because Tesla is yet to enter the African market. If you would love to a proud owner of one, you can contact Tesla to get one shipped over.

The Tesla Model Y comes with a traditional Tesla design, it is very simple to identify the Model Y as a Tesla vehicle even from afar. You are most likely to spot the difference when you come a little closer.

It is hard to talk about the design of the Tesla Model Y without mentioning the word “Safety”. This is an electric SUV that runs fast, It is important we know how save we are when we get in.

Just like every other Tesla, the Model Y is designed for safety, it is infact designed to be the safest vehicle in her class. No wonder Tesla made the Model Y have a rigid body structure, low center of gravity and large crumple zones.

Checking from the driver’s seat, you will notice the elevated seating position and low dash in front, making it easy for the driver to have a commanding view of the road ahead for optimum safety.

The interior of Tesla Model Y is premium, simple and clean, with a 15-inch touch screen, immersive sound system and an expansive all-glass roof at top that gives you a seamless view of the sky. Tell why you won’t fall in love with this car in Nigeria.

The passengers seats are better, it feels more comfortable to sit on. When inside the Tesla Model Y, you will notice that the seats are high too. You also get to enjoy up to 4 USB-C port (two in front, two at the back) and wireless charging in front.

As expected, basic essentials like cup holders, arm rest, vents and speakers are highly present on the Tesla Model Y. There is more to this, just make sure you spent some time inside to explore new features.

I will say the Tesla Model Y was properly utilized when it comes to space. From the outside, the Model Y looks like every other normal EV in Nigeria but when you get inside, everything starts to look interesting.

The most amazing things about the interior is the amount of space you will discover here. Beginning from the passengers seats to the huge cargo space at the back and the truck in front. Hiding something here can be done easily.

Filling up the Tesla Model Y with a lot of stuffs won’t be a problem at all. On a good day, the Tesla Model Y can accommodate up to 7 persons so long the last two persons seating at the back are not so heavy.

All-Wheel Drive

The Tesla Model Y performs excellent in rain, snow, mud and even off-road. This is because there is an all wheel drive with two ultra-responsive, independent electric motors in here.

It digitally controls torque to the front and rear wheels—for far better handling, traction and stability control. The Tesla Model Y is all weather friendly with that of Nigeria included.

The number one thing I love about the Tesla Model Y is the fact that it is fully electric, when you buy this car, you will never have to visit a petrol station in Nigeria. Asking why? Let me tell you how this works behind the scenes.

Buy the Tesla Model Y, charge overnight at home, wake up to a full battery every morning and drive to work. And when you’re on the road, you can plug in along the way—at any public station or with the any Tesla charging network available in your country.

Tesla being a fan of Autopilot which they say is the future of driving didn’t skip this feature from her SUV. The all new Tesla Model Y comes standard with emergency braking, collision warning, blind-spot monitoring and more.

According to Tesla, “the Model Y will have Full Self-Driving capability, enabling automatic driving on city streets and highways pending regulatory approval, as well as the ability to come find you anywhere in a parking lot.”

Final Thoughts

The Tesla Model Y which is unarguably the second Electric SUV after the Model X is no disappointment at all. This is a remarkable upgrade to adapt to.

Having gone through the top features of this electric SUV, it is clear that Tesla is really working hard to manufacture a better engineered vehicle for the future.
