Huawei P30 Pro Price in Nigeria
The Huawei P30 Pro is a flagship that is very expensive in Nigeria. It is available in colors breathing Chrystal, Aurora, Amber sunshine and black. Price starts at $1,140. The first two colors changes with light: can be blue, pink or green. Huawei is well known for that.
Design
The Huawei P30 Pro comes in a premium design as compared to her predecessor of last year. The bezels are thin and the size of the notch is smaller now.
The Huawei P20 Pro comes in an all glass body which makes it very fragile to handle but there is a silicone case inside the box to help prevent cracks and scratches.
Taking a closer look at the Huawei P30 Pro, you will notice some external features that is common in most flagships except for a few things.
On the Huawei P30 Pro, there is a power and volume buttons on the right side. At the base is where the speaker grill, USB-C port and Sim tray(dual nano-sim/SD card) stays.
The Huawei P30 Pro has no headphone jack, it isn’t surprising though but Huawei provided a pair of USB-C buds inside the box but you will need to get a USB-C adapter.
Huawei did go against the normal tradition here, it built her earpiece inside the screen of her flagship. So you won’t see any visible earpiece but that didn’t affect her audio clarity.
There is also no physical fingerprint scanner on the Huawei P30 Pro, what we have here is an optical in-display fingerprint scanner that is incredibly fast and accurately.
Even with the Improvement in her design, the Huawei P30 Pro still feels and looks big in the hand. it measures 158 x 73.4 x 8.4mm and weighs only 195gram.
Display
The Huawei P30 Pro got a bright clear and colorful display that is intercepted by a smaller notch this time, allowing for a better full view display.
On the Huawei P30 Pro is a 6.47 inch full HD+ screen that is protected by a gorilla glass with curved edges. Even the rear glass have curved edges too.
The Huawei P30 Pro display comes with a 1080 x 2340p resolution, 19.9:5 aspect ratio and 398ppi. These combination gives you a pleasant viewing experience.
Camera
The camera is the stand out feature that sets the Huawei P30 Pro apart. This is what Huawei is using to advertise her P30 Pro in the first place.
On the Huawei P30 Pro is a quad camera setup; 40MP + 8MP + 20MP + Tof (time of flight). Each having a distinctive role to perform.
The 40MP is the main sensor, 8MP is the telephoto camera, 20MP is the ultra-wide angle lens and Tof is the depth sensor.
The combination of these sensors makes the Huawei P30 Pro receive great low-light performance even in extreme low-light condition and night mode.
Another stunning feature on the Huawei P30 Pro is her fantastic zoom capability that lets you draw objects closer to you.
On the Huawei P30 Pro, there 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom and 50x digital zoom. All zooms works perfectly but the 5x zoom works best.
Huawei is no longer using RGB sensor on her P30 Pro, they have now switched over to the RYB (red, yellow, blue) sensor design just to pull more light.
In front of the Huawei P30 Pro is a 32MP selfie camera that can take great portrait mode shots with plenty of details; this is good news for selfie shooters in Nigeria.
Battery life
Aside boost an excellent camera, the battery life on the Huawei P30 Pro is wonderful. This thing can stay active for long hours with only one charge in Nigeria.
The Huawei P30 Pro comes with a 4200mAh battery that last very well. It can last a day and half of heavy usage or even two days of lighter usage.
That is not all, there is also a power saving mode that helps to extend battery life by a great deal. You can turn on this mode when you have less power.
But if you really want to conserve more power for basic use when under 15% you can out-in for the ultimate power saving mode just to keep the flagship alive for more hours.
The Huawei P30 Pro also comes with Fast charging feature that is available when you use her 40W supercharger adaptor. You get up to 70% in 30 minutes.
Just like the S10, the Huawei P30 Pro has reverse wireless charging that allows you to charge a compactible Qi wireless device at the back of the flagship.
Software & Spec
The Huawei P30 Pro is well equipped with software, it comes with Android 9.0 pie Operating System that is based on her EMUI interface.
EMUI is good, it has nice tweaks but it doesn’t look like a stock android interface in my own view. That is not to say it won’t be loved by many.
On the Huawei P30 Pro there is a theme store app that allows you to download any free or paid themes and customize it to suite your taste.
You can even decide to change the look of the home screen or activate the Always on display app that lets you check important indicators at a glance on the locked screen.
This surprisingly didn’t have any effect on the battery even when it displayed a dime light all through.
On the spec scene, the Huawei P30 Pro packs in a Kirin 980 chipset, an 8GB of RAM and an optional 128GB, 256GB and 512GB ROM with support for expandable nanoSD card slot.
The Huawei P30 Pro can handle any app you throw at it in swift load times. Geek bench 4 test showed an averaged multi-core score of 9,669.
The score isn’t really that high for the competition but decent for a flagship like this in Nigeria.
The Huawei P30 Pro is IP68 rated ( water and dust resistance), it can withstand being submerged in water for up to 30 minutes.
