Realme got an interesting smartphone for the market. It’s called C3. This is a Tech to look out for if you are thinking about subtracting some numbers.

I guess you know what am talking about? “Budget” The Realme C3 is a budget smartphone with some real quality. It’s got everything classic in her price point.

Realme C3 Price in Nigeria

The Realme C3 comes in two colors: Frozen blue and blazing red. It is selling at a budget price in Nigeria. Price starts at 36,000 naira, ₹ 6,999 in India which is roughly $100 on the international market.

Design & Display

According to her maker, the C3 comes with what they call a sunrise design. That is true in some way especially when you see the two bright colors it appears in.

At first sight, one will quickly identify the tear drop notch at the top and the vertically placed camera set up at the back. We could as well call this a traditional design.

Aside the volume button that is on the right, every other placements like the triple card slot, power button, micro USB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, speaker and microphone were positioned in areas we are very much familiar with in Nigeria

It comes with a large 6.5 inch HD+ tear drop notch display with 1600 x 720p resolution and a high screen-to-body ratio of 89.8% which provides clear and immersive viewing experience for reading, playing games and watching movies.

The display is an LCD multi-touch screen that has up to 480cd/m2 max brightness (typical) and Night mode for eye care. It is protected by a Corning gorilla glass.

Camera & Battery

The Realme C3 comes with a very simple yet functional camera system that is worth it. At the top is a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture, 5P lens, AI beauty and HDR.

At the back is a well structured 12MP + 5MP dual AI camera with portrait lens. The main camera which is the 12MP camera has f/1.8 aperture,5P lens, PDAF, 4x digital zoom, AI HDR, AI beauty, Chroma boost, Super nightscape, Panorama mode, Expert mode and Time-Lapse mode.

You can also do 1080p HD video recording at 30fps. The camera also supports slow motion video recording just in case you feel like capturing some cinematic views in Nigeria. Its capped at 120fps.

It comes with a 5000mAh battery which has 10W charging power (5V, 2A charger inside the box). It has reverse charging too, you can use the Realme C3 to charge another smartphone in Nigeria.

On the software department, you will the Android 10 based on realme UI 1.0 which has a very clean and amazing look that is user-friendly and easy to navigate.

On the spec sheet, the Realme C3 comes with Helio G70 chip which runs on a 2.0GHz Octa-core processor. It has 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB ROM which is expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.

It also have some vital sensors like GPS, light sensor, proximity sensor, magnetic induction sensor and acceleration sensor inside.

My Thought

The Realme C3 is a budget smartphone that have tried to keep things simple in some kind of way. I guess this was done to make it price friendly. It’s just to affordable to ignore.

But then, you shouldn’t underrate this smartphone. Her performance is outstanding especially when you use it to play a graphic-intensive games at high frame rate. You will be shock to see how it performs here.

Don’t forget about the reverse charging feature that lets you charge another smartphone to a reasonable point. You can infact share power on the go. Isn’t that great to see on a budget smartphone like the Realme C3?
