Design

The Itel S15 Pro comes in a charming looking gradient dark purple color that is inspired by magical nature and made with the sophisticated 3D photolithography of all times.

We must also not forget to talk about the tear drop notch that is coming to the Itel S series for the very first time.

Aside the Itel S15, the Itel S15 Pro is the second Itel smartphone to have this new design philosophy.

There is also another major upgrade at the back of the Itel S15 Pro, you will notice the 3 solid cameras at the back. This is by far the biggest upgrade that is also the first of it’s kind on any Itel smartphone in Nigeria.

The volume and power buttons are still on the right side, the speaker grill have now been moved to the bottom to enable better audio performance regardless of how well you place it on the table.

The other essential placement on the Itel S15 Pro is not far from usual. The 3.5m headphone jack is still at her regular spot at the top while the micro USB port and microphone are well positioned at the bottom.

Display

The Itel S15 Pro now adopts an elegant 6.1 inch HD+ display that comes with a tear drop notch at the top. This automatically makes the Itel S15 Pro man enough to handle a full screen design.

There is also a 2.5D glass protector for the screen. its slight curvature at the edge of the glass display makes the 6.1inch display more comfortable and user friendly in Nigeria.

When it comes to viewing, the Itel S15 Pro comes with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio that allows you to see more clearly when watching videos or playing games in Nigeria.

Camera

On the tear drop notch is a 16MP front-facing camera that is good at taking clearer selfies with better details even in low-light scenes but there is no flashlight in front.

The Itel S15 Pro however does a great job of utilizing what we call a screen flash to serve the role of a front-facing flashlight by making use of Artificial intelligence to brighten up selfies in low-light.

The 16MP front-facing camera now comes with a large 2.0µm 4-in-1 Big Pixel to support. There is also an AI Face Beauty 3.0 that is good at identifying your facial features, it adds custom beauty effects on photos to make them look classic.

At the back, we have a triple camera setup that consist of an 8MP camera working side by side with two other cameras and a LED flash to capture clear, bright and stunning looking photos on the Itel S15 Pro.

The Itel S15 Pro also have AI incubated into her cameras. According to Itel, the AI camera is good at identifying editable text and text on a picture.

It supports print recognition which helps to increase the efficiency of text entry and record important information in good time.

The Itel S15 Pro now have Gallery Go which is a light, fast office gallery that helps you view your photos in a very organized way.

The Gallery Go comes with a smart storage and an easier form of editing with auto-enhanced Gallery features.

Battery life

Under the hood of the Itel S15 Pro is a high performing 3000mAh battery that is Long-lasting. It comes with an Intelligent battery management system that helps to extend battery life.

The battery saver mode when activated can help you extend the battery life of the Itel S15 Pro by a great deal so you don’t have to stay out of Power.

Software & Spec

The Itel S15 Pro comes with Android 9.0 Pie(Go edition) Operating System with some pre-installed applications inside which eventually chopped off a portion of the Internal storage.

Talking about storage, the Itel S15 Pro comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM but you don’t get to see exactly 32GB of internal memory as earlier stated. The storage can however be expanded via micro SD card up to 128GB.

The Itel S15 Pro now runs on a higher 1.6GHz quad-core processor which is far better than the one we are use to seeing on majority of the previously manufactured Itel smartphones in Nigeria.

Security features

Security is one of the top priorities of Itel mobile, that is why they have decided to integrate dual Security Protection just to protect your privacy as this is no doubt a major concern to majority of her customers in Nigeria.

As expected, the Itel S15 Pro will come with face unlock and an 8 functions fingerprint reader to choose from. The face unlock have now been upgraded with a new feature called the LiveNess Mode.

With LiveNess mode, you only need some eye blinks for the authorization to unlock. This will go a long way in providing further protection of your privacy.

There is also what we call screen Fill Light function that enable Face Unlock even in low light condition.

My thoughts

We can see how good Itel smartphones are becoming. This is Itel many looked down upon some years ago but I guess things are changing now because Itel smartphones are getting better and better in Nigeria.

With her 4G LTE, upgraded cameras and better processor; one can clearly see how amazing the Itel S15 Pro is especially when you consider her new tear drop notch design and price point.

On top of that, you are still going to get a better storage option too. All these mentioned upgrades are no doubt the biggest Itel have ever deposited on her smartphones and funnily enough the Itel S15 Pro is the lucky one in Nigeria.
