I believe you are not hearing this name for the first time, we all know what the Nokia C2 was in the past. Back then, we all know it to be a Java phone in Nigeria. Right now, it’s an Android smartphone occupying a different from factor.

Nokia decided to keep things simple here so as to lower the price but that doesn’t mean there is heavy compromise in quality. You are definitely getting value for the price it is selling at in Nigeria.

Design & Display

The Nokia C2 has a very simple design that is traditional in every way. It was built to handle everyday bumps in Nigeria. All thanks the polycarbonate cover and stunning finish.

It comes with a the removable cover that gives you easy access to the battery. The placements are however in their perfect spots. There is even a dedicated Google Assistant button on the left.

When it comes to display, the Nokia C2 is feature filled. It has a stunning 5.7inch HD+ screen that is IPS in origin. The display appears pretty decent and bright.

It has an 18:9 aspect ratio that lets you discover and enjoy a crisper, clearer and more immersive way to watch your videos on the stunning display in Nigeria.

Camera & Battery

The Nokia C2 comes with a 5MP front-facing camera otherwise known as the selfie camera. On the back is a 5MP rear camera with an f/2.2 auto focus and LED flash.

We also can not shy away from the fact that the Nokia C2 comes with a 2800mAh that is not so big as many where expecting to see. However, this is not going to a deal breaker if you don’t do much with your smartphone in Nigeria.

The Nokia C2 comes with a pre-installed Android 9.0 Pie (Go Edition) OS. In here, you fill find utility apps that let’s you access incredible apps like YouTube Go, Google Maps Go and other helpful apps on the Google play store.

The storage configuration available here is a 1GB RAM with 16GB ROM of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card slot, up to 64GB.

The Nokia C2 runs on a 1.4 GHz Quad Core processor (Unisoc). It has key sensors like Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor and Accelerometer otherwise known as G-sensor inside.

My Thoughts

Sometimes, a simple smartphone like the Nokia C2 could be what you need especially if you are just starting out with Android OS or let’s just say you just want something simple for a start.

That said, the Nokia C2 is highly recommended for people who do basic stuffs with smartphones. Am also a big fan of the size of this particular phone, it is very portable and easy to move around with in Nigeria.
