Apple Watch SE – Affordable Piece

Apple new and all exciting watch SE is here, this is kind of in-between and at the same time different from the premium Apple Watch Series 6 but… Is the Apple Watch SE really good?

The Apple Watch SE is just as good. It came out with exactly the same idea as the iPhone SE but this one kind of fits the grip. It better be good. The whole idea is just to make the Apple watch get to so many hands. And that includes Nigeria.

Apple knows how to sell its products which is not strange to everyone. Seeing this, am already glanced over. Knowing pretty well that am not paying so much to buy one of Apple’s watch is a bit satisfying.

At first, you are quick to notice the high sense of familiarity with the latest apple watch series 6 of 2020. Differentiating between both is a little difficult at first impression but there is definitely a way out.

The Apple Watch SE has a $279 price tag in Nigeria which is not anywhere close to the 6. As expected, it is going to be available in two models: Only version and cellular edition. There are 3 available colors to select from silver, gold, or space gray.

Design & Display

The Apple Watch SE has the same iconic design and large display as the Apple Watch Series 6. Only you can tell exactly what is it you are carrying. That’s the beauty here.

Honestly, there literally isn’t anything spiky to see here. The Apple Watch SE is just as simple as ever. It is perfectly ideal for a minimalist in Nigeria. Not forgetting the remarkable 40mm case size.

The Apple Watch SE has an expansive always-on Retina display that enables you to see more at a glance in Nigeria. Even under the sun, It is still as clear. The display quality rocks!

Health & Fitness

Let’s now talk about the fitness aspect of the Apple Watch SE. I will say the fitness feature here is very flexible. First, it inspires a healthier life. Your workout metrics can be transported to your iPhone, IPad, and Apple TV.

There is even an advanced sensors that help you keep track of the ways you move among other health and fitness features to keep you healthy and safe in Nigeria.

For those who worry so much about sleep, the Apple Watch SE can help you track your sleep and also create a schedule and bedtime routine for your sleep goal. With the sleep app and some little tweaks with your iPhone, you are there.

Battery

The battery life of the Apple Watch SE rocks, it is in fact too good to be true. On a real day, you are sure of enjoying anywhere between 24 – 36 hours. Isn’t that amazing?

This became possible due to some factors; one of which is the WatchOS 7 with the second being the display. The old S5 chipset was a little surprising, we didn’t expect that much from it but it did perform.

On a typical day, charging the Apple Watch SE in Nigeria can take you anywhere close to 2 and a half hours. That is if you are charging from 0% – 100%.

WatchOS 7

The WatchOS 7 has it good with a lot of features that come in handy with great functionality. One remarkable improvement you will notice here is “Siri”.

Siri doesn’t need you to say Hi Siri or press a button to enable it. All you have to do is raise your hand and start speaking immediately. That’s it, you are there

Final Thoughts

The Apple Watch SE is an affordable Tech for the market. That only depends on what affordable means to you in Nigeria. There are a good number of everyday features but we forgot something.

The Apple Watch SE has LTE. This means you can use it for some tasks designed for your iPhone when you are not around but that means extra cost on data for us here in Nigeria.
