Design & Display
The Xiaomi Redmi 10C comes with a rounded design aesthetic that is all-new and better than that of last year. I say all-new because it has a stylish flat frame, elegant glass back cover and a matte material feel.

According to Xiaomi, the design was inspired by the serene tranquillity of nature and crafted with exquisite artistry. By this, it means you are walking around with beauty at all times. Thanks to its 8.22mm ultra-slim body that is elegantly balanced with strict standards.
On the display, we’ve got a 6.88inch immersive screen that is huge. It offers a more cinematic viewing angle for your favourite content. The Xiaomi Redmi 14C is paired with an auto-adjusting 120Hz high refresh rate that makes navigating happen almost in real-time.

The battery on the other hand offers a massive 5160mAh capacity with support for 18W fast charging. It also features smart charging engine and safe battery technology which helps in ensuring a long-lasting and healthy battery life.
Software & Hardware
The Xiaomi Redmi 14C has android 14 OS preinstalled with deep tuning of HyperOS which is very clean and straight forward to use. It ensures smooth, seamless, and stable daily use.
There are different configurations for the RAM: 4GB, 6GB and 8GB. All of which are extended by default via virtual memory up to 16GB RAM (8GB + 8GB). This helps in enhancing system performance, quick app loading and seamless switching between sessions. The internal storage offers the 128GB / 256GB options with microSD card storage expansion support.
The Xiaomi Redmi 14C comes with the new MediaTek Helio G81 ultra chip which has a powerful octa-core processor that is good at lowering power consumption which helps in extending battery life and increases device performance.

Final Thoughts
As mentioned before, the Xiaomi Redmi 14C is a budget smartphone to try out, its release seems to reflect the feedback from the 13C. The big ups this time is the battery life and better camera, the CPU however is not performance heavy but works okay for normal tasks like lightweight gaming.
This feels better but we still don’t have a wired earpiece inside the box and also there seem to be a bit of miscommunication about the 18W charger stated on their website vs the 33W charger that is found inside the box after purchase.
Also, the HyperOS on this device doesn’t feel like the typical one you will find on higher Xiaomi phones, it tends to display ads around too. I’m guessing they now have a special version for their budget phones.
