Before now, we probably know that the Volkswagen Golf have been the best selling car for a very long time especially when it comes to hatchback. It all started in 1974, who would have thought that a German auto maker will get this far?

There is also a 16 inch aluminum alloy wheel, (four in all) with four doors (two on each side) and 5 seats in for passengers to sit comfortably. This is perfectly okay for a family of 4 or 5 in Nigeria.

Engine & Performance

The 2020 Volkswagen Golf 8 comes with a 1.4 liter four-cylinder engine with a turbocharged 147 horsepower and six-speed manual transmission. If you want an eight-speed automatic transmission, prepare to pay an extra $800 (about 288,000) to enjoy one.

When it comes to perform, driving the Golf 8 is very comfortable particularly if you want to use it as your daily drive in Nigeria. It has better handling and a drivetrain that is very quiet.

Safety features

All the safety features you need are available on this vehicle. The safety features are 100% up to capacity. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2020 Volkswagen Golf 8 a 5/5 rating.

In here, you will find a forward collision warning, rain-sensing windshield wiper, automatic emergency braking, post-collision braking, pedestrian monitoring, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and a rear view camera.

My Thoughts

The 2020 Volkswagen Golf 8 need no introduction in Nigeria. It is best known as a fuel economy vehicle that is very easy to maintain. Well, this particular one is not that different at all.

When inside, you will get a comfortable feel to drive at your pace. Trust me, this is what you need to move around in Nigeria. As simple as it looks on the outside, it still has luxury taste inside.
