The release of the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus came as a surprise to majority of us in Nigeria. We were all expecting to see some slight upgrades but Tecno felt it was best to go higher.

Let me also say that the launch of the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus have made a lot of smartphone enthusiasts happy particularly those who have been battling with unstable Power Supply in Nigeria.

I am also excited with this launch. In fact, I am already planning to send a cup of coffee ☕ to Tecno Mobile. Should I?☺️

Design

If you ask me to describe the design of the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus with a single word, I will use the word “beautiful”. This device is good looking, you might want to mistake it for the Phantom 9.

The Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus comes with a tear drop notch display, it has an ultra slim body that is made of plastic and a dimension of 158.96 x 75.98 x 9.17mm.

At the right is where the power button and volume rocker is located while the micro SD card plus dual nano-SIM tray is on the left. There is also a dedicated Google assistant button on the left.

While the top remains empty, the bottom got the remaining slot. Right there you will find the speaker grill, micro USB port, mic and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The rear received a trending outlook. Just like almost every other new smartphone that was released this year, the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus didn’t step out of it.

At the back of this Power King, you will see the vertically placed Triple AI cameras plus flash, fingerprint scanner with some Tecno and Pouvoir brand inscription.

Display

Now that Tecno have decided to start using OLED screens on her budget smartphones, I can gladly say we now have more views to enjoy in Nigeria.

The display on the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus is a 6.35inch AMOLED display that is vivid, clear and bright. The display also feature a 19.5:9 edge to edge ratio and a 600nit brightness.

The display is rich in colors, it maintains a 720 x 1548p resolution, 100000:1 high contrast ratio and a DCI-P3 wide-color gamut. You are definitely going to love it.

The display also have a stunning viewing experience. It can be used to play mobile games, watch YouTube videos and do other screen task in Nigeria.

Camera

Lets talk about the camera of the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus. Right in front is a 13MP selfie camera with dual front-facing flashlight that is invisible. It only appears when you need it.

At the rear is an AI triple camera set up which consist of a 13MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle and a 2MP depth sensor. There is also a quad flash to support.

The Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus have other essential camera features like Bokeh effect, 120° wide-angle and macro photography assist with better views on photo scenes.

Battery life

The battery life of the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus is considered the biggest upgrade so far. This tech comes with a 6000mAh super battery that can stay activate for 5 good days.

This is no joke at all, Tecno really planned for this. Could you believe the Pouvoir 3 Plus did more than 12 hours screen on time and the battery did not die.

That’s number one, there is also another thing I need to tell you about this phone.

You know we have this normal tradition of seeing our smartphone shut down when the battery enters 0% right? Well, that didn’t happen with the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus.

Could you believe this phone didn’t shut down immediately even at 0%. I must say I am highly impress.

The Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus can guarantee up to 2100 minutes of calling, 12000 minutes of music playing, 1020 minutes of gaming and 1740 minutes of video playback.

On top of that, the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus is of light weight even with her 6000mAh battery capacity. It weighs only 196gram which is amazing especially when you compare it with smartphones with smaller battery size.

Tecno was able to prove to us that the battery life on her Pouvoir 3 Plus is King. So no body should tell me he or she could not do a thing due to low battery. Dude! go and buy this smartphone in Nigeria

Before I proceed to next section, I also must let you know that it took the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus almost 4 hours to charge from 0 – 100%. I was expecting to see it happen, I just wish it has fast charging.🤨

You can however escape this hurdle by simply charging the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus over night and use it through out the day in Nigeria. That’s the way to go.

Software & Spec

Inside the Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus is an Android 9.0 pie operating system that is based on HIOS 5.0.2 User Interface that looks very smart and easy to explore.

On the HIOS 5.0.2 UI, you will find amazing features that are essential for smart living especially now that we have so many standard UI around.

The new UI really change a lot, we now have features like Smart panel, photo management, working as a reminder, news announcer, translator and many more.

The Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus has a MediaTek 6762 chipset that runs on a 2.0GHz octa-core processor which ensures better processing and multi-tasking with less lagging.

The Tecno Pouvoir 3 comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM which is expandable via micro SD card slot. There is also face unlock feature available on this very Smartphone.

My Thoughts

The smartphone market in Nigeria is getting more competitive by the day. One minute you are like, let me switch to this brand, and another minute you wanna go back.

Tecno somehow, someway where able to balance things up with the features on her Pouvoir 3 Plus. They just given us a clue on how battery/power smartphones are going to look like next year.

Let’s assume you want to buy a smartphone with long-lasting battery and at the same time, you want a smartphone with an amazing display. The Tecno Pouvoir 3 Plus just solved that problem.

It is more like saying am using a stone to kill two, three or will I say four birds because there are other features in-house. Tecno have done a great job in Nigeria. We look forward to seeing more from them.
