I am going to be reviewing each smartphone separately starting with the Samsung Galaxy S10. So what do we have this time?

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is a unique tech piece that answers so many questions you had envisioned to see on your dream smartphone in Nigeria.

The closer you get to the Samsung Galaxy S10, the more you get tempted to upgrade your current smartphone in Nigeria.

Aside having some unique features, the Samsung Galaxy S10 turns out to be more expensive particularly here in Nigeria.

Am already sensing the Samsung Galaxy S10 would end up sitting at the top of our list of best flagship phones in Nigeria.

Design

The design of the Samsung Galaxy S10 is no big deal at all. We have seen such design before now in Nigeria. Remember Honor view 20!

What is the Samsung Galaxy S10 made of?

The design is made up of a thin aluminum frame that is centered between two glass, one at the front, the other at the rear.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 now have More screen but normal size although there are still some tiny bezels at the top and bottom.

At the back is were the triple cameras sits while the 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port and speaker grill are placed at the bottom.

The volume rocker and power button  is at the right edge of the phone but I couldn’t find the fingerprint sensor and that’s because it is now on-screen.

When it comes to sim slot, the Samsung Galaxy S10 is available in two variants. There is the one with single nano-sim and another with dual nano-sim.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 also comes with WiFi 6 which happens to be the first of it’s kind and is 20% faster than the traditional WiFi we are used to seeing in Nigeria.

Display

On the Samsung Galaxy S10 is a 6.1 inch infinity-O display  with curved edges and pixels. It is good to see Samsung getting better with her display, it still remains the best so far.

Still on the display, the Samsung Galaxy S10 now rocks a 93.1 percent screen to body ratio, 19:9 tall aspect ratio and is HDR 10 plus certified.

When you take a first hand look at the Samsung Galaxy S10, you can literally spot a pinch hole camera that is cut out at the top right corner of the phone, this was done to give room for more display.

You now have full view entertainment right from your home, office, and car or anywhere you are in Nigeria.  Also, the Samsung Galaxy S10 received some upgrades in her  UI.

Camera

Samsung really tech out the camera on her newest flagship – Galaxy S10. Now am beginning to wonder if it takes on the lead among camera smartphones in Nigeria.

On the Samsung Galaxy S10 is a 10MP selfie camera in front with two auto focuses. The front-facing camera is actually a laser cut hole on the AMOLED display.

The new position of the camera is Samsung response to notch avoidance techniques as displayed by other smartphone manufacturers.

The selfie camera also blink out a fancy animations that shine around it. This is absolutely fantastic.

On the rear are 3 Triple cameras. One main 12MP camera with dual f/1.5 – 2.4 aperture and optical image stabilization , one 12MP f/2.4 telephoto with optical image stabilization and one 16MP ultra wide f/2.2 aperture with 123° field of view.

The camera on the Samsung Galaxy S10 now have HDR 10+ feature that helps with ultra HDR video recording and has digital video stabilization.

The camera is consistent in low light conditions and there is also Samsung camera AI and neural processor engine to assist with great photographic shots.

Battery life

The Samsung Galaxy S10 received an upgrade in battery capacity as compared to the Galaxy S9 of last year. And the good thing about the battery is that it is long-lasting.

Under the hood is a 3400mAh battery capacity with fast charging feature. There is now a new feature called wireless Power Share on the Samsung Galaxy S10.

With Power Share you can charge up another smartphone or Galaxy buds by placing it at the back of the Samsung Galaxy S10. This feature only works when the battery is above 30%.

Software and Specs

The Samsung Galaxy S10 comes with a pre-installed Android 9.0 pie Operating system that is very efficient with battery consumption.

The user interface have also been improved on. It now have better looks and is very easy to navigate and customize.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 ships in with 8GB RAM, 128/512 GB ROM and has more room for expandable storage.

It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or  her own made Exynos chipset. The Samsung Galaxy S10 is now IP68 rated.

Fingerprint

This feature is in fact a revolutionary feature in the smartphone world. When others decided to go Optical, Samsung chose ultrasonic tech.

On the Samsung Galaxy S10 is an Ultrasonic under the glass fingerprint reader which is kinder dope!. I actually was expecting to see this feature on the Galaxy S9 of last year.

Samsung didn’t just implement the ultrasonic glass fingerprint, they actually took it to a whole new level. One good thing about the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is that it is faster.

Aside being fast, it also works with out blinking any light to read your print. We all know that the optical fingerprint reader does blink out light to read your print.

We have seen this on the OnePlus 6T in Nigeria but the Samsung Galaxy S10 have upgraded this existing feature by taking away the lights off.

My thoughts

We all know what Samsung is good at, throwing a lot of features on a single smartphone just to get your attention. They’ve done that with previous flagships, this one is not an exception.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 have set the standard already, so we expect to see more smartphones with exact, similar or even better features in Nigeria.
