Design

The design of the Samsung Galaxy A51 is way up-front. It looks like we are having a taste of a flagship here. A new design for 2020, that’s it and nothing else.

The placements were conveniently placed, Samsung decided to maintain the normal tradition. You will still find the volume and power buttons on the right as usual

On the left is the sim tray, with up to 3 slot, your Micro SD card can fit in on one. At the bottom is the USB-C port, headphone jack, microphone and speaker grill.

There is also a microphone at the top. At the back are 4 solid cameras with an LED flash. There is no physical fingerprint scanner at the back because the one available here is on-screen.

Display

On the Samsung Galaxy A51, you will find a 6.5-inch Full HD+ super AMOLED display. It comes with a 1080 x 2400p resolution which makes it standard for all media consumption.

The display quality here is breath taking ☺️. I so much love what Samsung did with the display of the Galaxy A51. Aside from the fact that it’s clear and bright, it fits in perfectly with the size of this very smartphone.

When you take a look at the size of this smartphone and then picture the 6.5inch AMOLED display here, you will appreciate the amount of space that use utilized. Unnecessary once we’re cut-out to bring out the best in size.

Let’s not forget it’s an infinity-O display, edge-to-edge for that matter. You are going to enjoy an amazing view regardless of the angle you are viewing from in Nigeria.

Camera

At the back of the Samsung Galaxy A51 is an “L” shaped quad camera system. A 48MP (F2.0) Main, 5MP (F2.2) Depth, 5MP (F2.4) Macro and a 12MP (F2.2) with LED flash.

In front is a 32MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It is positioned at the center of the Samsung Galaxy A51 so you can get the best shot from any angle.

The Camera System here is no doubt a complete one. Either you are capturing ultra-wide angle at 123° angle lens or macro mode shooting with close objects, the Camera does performs greatly.

When it comes to 4K video recording, you will also find it interesting too. You will be amazed by the degree at which you can record videos without experiencing any interruption with moving objects.

The camera feature called Super Steady Video will take care of that. It does an incredible job of stabilizing your videos even as you spend quality time capturing unforgettable moments.

Battery Life

The Samsung Galaxy A51 comes with a typical 4,000mAh that supports 15W Fast Charging. There is no need to wait that long to charge anymore.

The battery size is enough to serve for a complete day of activeness. You can decide to switch to dark mode if you really want to extend battery life by a great deal in Nigeria.

Software & Spec

The Samsung Galaxy A51 comes with Android 10 OS based on One UI 2.0 which looks more refined and clean, simple and easy to navigate. You will also find other useful Samsung services like Bixby on the ecosystem.

On the spec sheet, we have an optional 4/6/8G RAM with 64/128GB ROM which can be expandable via Micro SD up to 512GB. The Samsung Galaxy A51 runs on a Quad 2.3GHz + Quad 1.7GHz Octa-Core processor.

My Thoughts

In Nigeria, we now have a new sibling to the A series called the Samsung Galaxy A51 which looks very identical to the Galaxy A71. Am not surprised to see this anyway since both where launched the same day.

After going through my review of the Samsung Galaxy A51, you will first notice that this is not a cheap Android phone in Nigeria. Her Predecessor wasn’t, we weren’t expecting to see a price fall either.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is not that expensive in Nigeria. I must confess, I love what is inside this phone. Everything here is just incredible. Am already falling in love with the design of this phone. Isn’t it the most attractive part?

So if you are out there looking for a smartphone that looks good, lasts longer and captures every experience, I strongly recommend you  buy the Samsung Galaxy A51 in Nigeria.
