Design

The Samsung Galaxy A71 comes with a very portable and at the same time unique design. It’s amazing to see how Samsung was able to maximize hardware space here.

Truth be told, the Samsung Galaxy A71 comes with a body that was well utilized. From top to bottom, the Galaxy A71 has a well structured body that is right for 2020.

You are going to first appreciate the infinity-O display on this device. This is not Samsung number one flagship, but yet they decided to spread their latest upgrade for 2020 to the A series with ❤️.

The placement here are not far from usual. On the right we have the SIM tray, on the left is the volume rocker and power button while the USB-C port, speaker, microphone and 3.5mm headphone jack are down below. There is even a microphone at the top.

Display

On the Samsung Galaxy A71 is a large 6.7inch full HD+ super AMOLED Infinity-O display that delivers an expansive, immersive and uninterrupted visual experience.

The display is no doubt large and satisfying, we all know what Samsung is capable of doing with her display. Well the 6.7inch screen on this device is amazingly awesome too.

The display on the Samsung Galaxy A71 has an edge-to-edge screen, it comes with a 1080x2400p resolution which makes it convenient for you to watch your favorite movies and play games.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A71 comes with a 32MP (f/2.2 aperture) front-facing camera that sits at the center, at the very top of the display. It is no longer hanging around the edges.

The new position of the selfie camera is 100% perfect in my own opinion. A lot of us where expecting to find the selfie camera around the edges, I guess Samsung decided to play fast on this one.😊

The Galaxy A71 comes with four cameras at the back that helps you capture the most memorable moments of your life. On the rear, you will find a 64MP (F1.8) main, 5MP (F2.2) depth, 5MP (F2.4) macro and 12MP (F2.2) ultra-wide.

The Samsung Galaxy A71 camera has intelligent features that allows you to capture amazing shots. You can take crisp and vivid shots during the day or at night.

The ultra-wide camera works at it’s best. It has 123° angle lens that lets you capture the best view. There is even an intelligent switch function that will recommend Wide Shot and automatically switch it on for you.

The Macro camera on the Galaxy A71 brings objects into crystal clear focus to enable you capture every single detail while the Depth camera lets your subjects stand out when it utilize Live Focus effects.

There is also a new camera feature that works great on video recording, it’s called Super Steady Video. With this, you can capture smooth and stable videos on any adventure.

Battery Life

Considering the large display on this device, one will expect a reasonable amount of battery size on this device. Did the Samsung Galaxy A71 really meet our expectation?

Hmmm! Yes!

Under the hood is a 4500mAh battery that can serve you all through the day in Nigeria. It comes with 25W fast charging that helps to speed up time and reduce the amount time spent on charging.

Software & Spec

The Samsung Galaxy A71 comes with Google Android 10 OS based on One UI 2.0 – Samsung ecosystem. It comes with intelligent apps and services like Samsung Knox (for security), Samsung Pay, Samsung Health and Bixby.

The Samsung Galaxy A71 runs on a dual 2.2GHz + Hexa 1.8GHz octa core processor which makes it faster than normal. You will hardly notice any lagging here.

When it comes to storage configuration, you can choose to opt-in for the 6GB or 8GB RAM with 128GB ROM available on both trim. Storage can be expandable via Micro SD slot up to 512GB.

My Thoughts

Samsung keep doing what they doing. We all know what Samsung is good at, throwing almost every single feature they can on a single smartphone but this time, they try not to make the price super high.

The Samsung Galaxy A71 is best described as “a taste of flagship”. Aside her colorful infinity-O display, you will find a good number of high-end features that are common in most flagship Smartphones in Nigeria.

Only a few of them are missing here. I guess that was done intentionally to make up for the price. But it’s no big deal at all. You are going to love the camera here, it’s shots incredibly.
