Design

The design of the Oppo Reno 2 looks very standard in some particular ways. Her front might not really impress you a lot considering the fact that it has tiny bezels which we are used to seeing on most flagships in Nigeria.

However, tehe sweetest upgrade is at the back. There is a luminous light shining at the back, telling everyone this is “Oppo”. But there is no notch to house the selfie camera. What we have now is a new kind of pop up shark fin selfie camera.

The front is more of screen and nothing more. The Oppo Reno 2 has a 93.1% screen to body ratio. Her body which has a dimension of 160 x 74.3 x 9.5mm comes in a glass component and weighs only 189g.

The Oppo Reno 2 comes with dual WiFi speed up that lets you connect two WiFi at the sametime. It is 2x faster than normal. The speaker has Dolby Atmos sound for better sound quality.

The first which is the 48MP main camera has an ultra clear Sony IMX586 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization + Electronic Image Stabilization.

The second which is the 8MP wide angle has 116° and f/2.2 aperture. The number 3 is a 13MP telephoto f/2.4 aperture with Auto Focus and 2x Optical Zoom. And finally, we have the 2MP f/2.4 mono + depth sensor.

You will also notice a small circle bump below the quad cameras. This helps to prevent the cameras from scratches.

The Quad Camera comes with a high photography technology that helps you take photos that are either near or far, moving or still with her motion tracking feature available on the camera.

You can also take photos during the day or at night using the quad cameras on the Oppo Reno 2 in Nigeria. The all-new Ultra Dark Mode, AI beauty mode and Portrait mode 2.0 are available on the camera app.

In front is a motor shark fin pop-up selfie camera that houses the 16MP AI Beauty camera. This is the first time we are seeing such kind of front-facing camera technique in Nigeria. I love it.

In my own opinion, the shark fin pop-up technique I likely to have more longevity than a regular pop-up selfie camera.

The Oppo Reno 2 camera was also able to set a record of being the world’s first Pop-up Camera to have Bokeh Effects on Video recording.

The Oppo Reno 2 is no doubt an expensive smartphone, dropping six figures on a smartphone means a lot for many in Nigeria. You definitely will want the best out of it.

Oppo have done a remarkable job with her Reno 2. Every department here received maximum attention. From her hardware to software this device is boom!. There is absolutely no area that was left untouched.

Also not forgetting the Bokeh Effects video recording that is available on the front-facing camera. Yeah! The Oppo Reno 2 is the first to have this feature on a pop-up selfie camera.

Oppo is also offering 2 years warranty when you by the Reno 2 in Nigeria. This is a very strong signal the company is sending to everyone about their smartphones. It is more like saying Hey! I guarantee you, our smartphones are quality.
