Last Updated on June 11, 2021 by TM

Itel launched an affordable phone for you, it’s called the Itel A36. It comes with features that may or may not exceed your expectations depending on the need you desire to fulfill.

Just like previously manufactured itel smartphones in the A series line up, the Itel A36 for the most part have little or no significant difference. Judging by the design alone will leave an impression with you.

This might be the budget smartphone you are looking for. It comes with entry-level budget smartphone features that equal her price. I will say the Itel A36 is targeted majorly at those on a budget in Nigeria.

Design & Display

The design here is pretty normal, very traditional in every way. This is not surprising to see in a smartphone like this. The buttons are 100% in their usual spots while the placements are in their familiar zones.

The display on the other hand complement the design a lot more. On the Itel A36 is a 5.5” HD+ full screen with a decent visual experience for watching videos, playing games and consuming contents on the web while chilling at your home in Nigeria.

Camera & Battery

The camera on the Itel A36 is very simple, there is no much fancy here as we get to see on most Android smartphones in Nigeria. The selfie is made up of a 5MP camera with flash. There is also the same 5MP main camera with an LED flash at the back.

The Itel A36 has a 3020mAh high density lithium battery that is ready to serve. It provides you with reasonable amount of battery life and plenty amount of hours on standby.

For average/light users in Nigeria, you are guaranteed a complete day of use. Day 2 is also possible but I can’t guarantee the same for heavy users in Nigeria.

Software & Specs

On the software scene, we found an Android 9.0 Pie (Go edition) OS pre-installed inside this device. On the specsheet, we’ve got a 1.3GHz quad-core processor running on a 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM entry-level option with room for expansion via micro SD card slot.

Extra features

We know very well that the fingerprint scanner primary role is to conveniently unlock your phone but there are couple of exciting things you can do with the fingerprint scanner on this device.

The Itel A36 fingerprint scanner is remap able, it can be used to take pictures, unlock apps, record videos etc. When you buy one, you have tons of hours to explore new features with the print.

Final Thoughts

The A series haven’t changed that much. The specs are very much the same, the design looks so identical to previous gen and the price didn’t jump either but the software moved up a little.

This is unarguably a budget smartphone on a serious note. If you don’t do so much with your phone and you are not willing to pay a high price on a smartphone in Nigeria yet, you might want to take a second look at this.
