You are looking at Tecno’s first smartphonethat dare to have a 7.0inch screen – the Tecno Spark 5 Air is her name. This is a revolutionary device that is going to be the mother of a new set of innovation.
Having seen the length at which smartphone screens where increasing in 2019, I knew it was gonna get to this point. Are displays meant to be this big?
This innovation is coming earlier than expected, who would have thought a 7.0inch screen would land on a Tecno phone in the second quarter of 2020? That’s impressive if you ask me but are you willing to swap in?

Design & Display
The Tecno Spark 5 Air looks very identical to the Spark 5 in so many ways except that it comes with a tear drop notch at the top and also received a bigger 7.0inch HD+ display.
Judging from the size, the Tecno Spark 5 Air is no doubt a big phone. It has a 174.64 x 79.27 x 9.05mm dimension which is quite large and likely going to be uncomfortable for people with smaller hands.
Camera & Battery
At the top is an 8MP selfie camera that is capable of taking stunning and amazing selfies with her standard facial algorithm. There is also two seperate flashlights on both sides to support in low light conditions.
The rear camera comprises of a 13MP main camera with PDAF and QVGA lens. It is supported by a quad flash and has all the essential camera features like on the camera app.
Under the hood is a 5000mAh battery that is sufficient to power up the phone for a solid amount of time. With this, you are guaranteed a complete day of active use in Nigeria.

Final Thoughts
As earlier stated, the Tecno Spark 5 Air succeeded in becoming the first Tecno device to spot a 7.0inch display on a budget smartphone. This display is almost the size of a first generation tablet in Nigeria.
This is just the first, we are likely going to see more in the coming months.At this point we are most likely going to start asking ourselves if we really care that much about big screens in Nigeria.
