The Hot 7 Pro is a camera centric smartphone that was unveiled after the Hot 7 was released. At first, it wasn’t clear if there was going to be an Infinix Hot 7 Pro but it ended up landing in a shelf.
This is because Infinix went against the normal tradition of releasing two variants at the same time. Usually when we see a new launch there is mostly a Pro version of it.
That said, let us dive into the full review of the Infinix Hot 7 Pro. We need to find out if the Pro variant really deserve to be delayed against the odds, considering the fact that it was released on a later date in Nigeria.

Availability & Price
In Nigeria, the Infinix Hot 7 Pro is available in Gradient Purple, Milan Black, Sky Blue and Champagne Gold colors. It is selling at a budget friendly price and can be bought in online and offline stores in Nigeria.
Design
The Infinix Hot 7 Pro comes with a similar design as that on her lower variant only that its got a better build quality; one can clearly see her full view notch display.
On the notch is where you will find the dual selfie cameras and flash light. The receiver was moved to the top because of the limited space in front.
Every other placement is not far from usual. The fingerprint reader and the vertical camera bump are placed at the back of the Hot 7 Pro. This is a common touch that is trending in 2019 particularly here in Nigeria.
There are also some inscriptions at the back of the Hot 7 Pro. At the bottom is where infinix placed her 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB port and speaker grill.
The Infinix Hot 7 Pro also comes in a portable size. The volume and power buttons are placed within your reach on the right side of the phone, so you don’t have to stretch too much.
Display
Let’s talk about the display. On the Hot 7 Pro is a 6.2 inch HD+ full view notch display that is occupying almost every part of the front.
The full view notch display comes with a 1520 x 720p resolution which ensures better clarity and quality viewing experience. You get enough space to play with right here in Nigeria.
If you are uncomfortable with the notch on the Infinix Hot 7 Pro and you find it standing in your way, you can choose to take it off by activating some settings options.
The overall rating of the display is crips, clear, sharp and bright, it can used to for mobile gaming, watching movies and even do some studies in Nigeria.
Camera
The camera is the biggest tech in the Infinix Hot 7 Pro. This is the part that made history for Infinix Mobility in the first place, we are talking about quad(4) cameras here.
Like it or not, the Infinix Hot 7 Pro is the first Infinix smartphone to have two selfie cameras. On a good day, a single selfie camera does a lot of magic, imagine what two can do?
On the Hot 7 Pro are two front-facing cameras,13MP + 2MP dual lens system that comes with a flash which helps to render crystal images with Bokeh effects.
The dual selfie cameras also comes with AI technology that lets you detect gender, age and facial expressions with beautiful solution for a perfect selfie shot.
At the rear are 13MP + 2MP dual lens cameras with PDAF fast focus that lets you take pictures with more natural looks and feels. Imagine how great your pictures will appear.
The dual rear cameras on the Infinix Hot 7 Pro also feature a wide-aperture mode that lets you adjust the focus with expansive field of view.

Battery life
The Infinix Hot 7 Pro comes with a battery capacity that is enough to save the day. In fact, you don’t need a power bank to help you out in Nigeria.
Under the hood is a non-removable 4000mAh battery that can conveniently last for a full day on a single charge.
Infinix Mobility even guarantees up to two days but that would be for light users who hardly do much rendering with the phone.
Software & Spec
The Infinix Hot 7 Pro comes with the latest android 9.0 Pie operating system that is based on Infinix XOS 5.0 cheetah User Interface.
The Hot 7 Pro is available in two main variants that is based on storage configurations. The first has 2GB RAM while the second comes with 3GB RAM.
Both variants share the same 32GB ROM and has room for expandability via micro SD card, up to 128GB.
The Infinix Hot 7 Pro runs on a 2.0GHz octa-core processor with an optional Mediatek MT6757 or MT6762 to choose from.
For the Hot 7 Pro with 2GB RAM, there is a MT6757 chip inside while the one with 3GB RAM has a higher MT6762 in it.
Security features & more
On the Infinix Hot 7 Pro, you can use your face as password to lock and unlock your phone. There is also a smart fingerprint reader that provides secure activation with privacy control.
Other notable features on the Infinix Hot 7 Pro are optimized app functionality that is available on the XOS 5.0 cheetah UI and Google lens that comes with Google assistant.
My Thoughts
The Infinix Hot 7 Pro is a huge step up for Infinix Mobility. Now I see why they had to release her Pro version on a later date in Nigeria.
On the real sense, when I first find out that the Hot 7 Pro was out, I was like oh! really, this can be great. But when I got to know it got Quad AI lens, I was touched.
I had to settle down for a review of this record breaking tech, there was no way I could skip this phone, the Infinix Hot 7 Pro is the best shot for selfie shooters in Nigeria.
I mean, why won’t you opt-in for a selfie centric smartphone like the Infinix Hot 7 Pro. Two cameras plus flash in front is more than enough to do the magic. Nice Job Infinix.
