Street Racing 3D: A Thrilling Arcade-Style Racing Game

Last Updated on September 24, 2024 by TM

Street Racing 3D is a popular mobile racing game that is fast-paced. It combines a bit classic arcade-style gameplay with modern 3D graphics that let players dive into the high-octane world of street racing in an urban track.

Street Racing 3D was developed by Ivy, offering two main game options to cater for single and multiplayer modes. Whichever path you choose, it is quite competitive. You are either battling with AI or other opponents which can be fun in a way.

Speaking of fun, Street Racing 3D has an intuitive player control that does a great job of enhancing the gameplay and help you navigate the challenging street tracks while heading toward the finish line. In this review, we are going to be exploring it’s core features like: gameplay mechanics, graphics, sound, controls and overall gaming experience from users perspective.

Gameplay

Street Racing 3D has a core gameplay that gives you the kind you are expecting in a street racing arena. For the most part, you are going to be racing against AI opponents if you decide to go for the career mode or real players if you decide to opt-in for the PVP option.

The career mode actually houses the core of the gameplay; I will describe it as the heart of the game because it offers players the opportunity to progress through several levels while earning the in-game currencies needed for unlocking new locations, cars, and upgrades.

As players work toward polishing their racing skills, they get to battle with real players across the world which adds some level of competitiveness to the game because they get to see how much of a better player they have become playing as compared to other players.

And if you are interested in earning more in-game currency like coins and diamonds in Street Racing 3D so you can progress even faster, you can decide to do yourself a favour by showing up every day and claim you daily challenge in the daily reward. Also available are daily task, weekly task and achievements.

That said, the progression system in Street Racing 3D is smooth. Just like most games, the level of difficulty starts to increase as you advance in the game. The more you win, the more in-game currencies you earn, newer locations are opened and new cars get eligible to be unlocked, waiting for you to ride.

Controls

The controls available in Street Racing 3D are simple and Intuitive, it is typical of what you will find in most mobile game so there are not too much explanations going on, you are most likely going to be okay while figuring out how to use them. And if you are already used to racing games, you gonna be just fine.

That said, there are 3 types of controls present in Street Racing 3D, they are: Tilt control (I.e. Players tilt their phones to steer), button control (On-screen buttons for steering left and right) and swipe control (use steering by swiping left or right on the screen.). Thats pretty much it, you are free to try either of them but I find the button control more convenient to play with. Besides, it is also very responsive.

Graphics and Design

Street Racing 3D has a vibrant and sharp 3D graphics especially the car models. The environments are also visually appealing, driving through each race track provides a fresh feeling for each player. When compared with high-end racing simulators, you will notice the absence of realism in the graphics but considering the fact that it is targeted at mobile, it is fair to say the graphics are ok.

The animations on the other hand are smooth, you barely notice any lag in frame rate which is quite impressive during my time of play-testing. Either way, the textures and track deigns are not very much so they might feel repetitive after several gameplay sessions. Although this is very much dependent on how you journey through the game.

Sound and Music

Street Racing 3D sound and music complements the fast-paced action found in this game. The roaring engine sound and the tire screech sound that plays in the middle of the action during gameplay gives that feeling of energy and adrenaline-pumping atmosphere.

I do like the background music though because it kind of settle me into game mode pretty fast. Also when you go into the store, it transition to a different music that is right for shopping.

Vehicle Customization

The vehicle selection scene is another unique feature you will find in Street Racing 3D. There are more than 30 cars ranging from the basic model to high-performing sport supercars to choose from. Players are free to unlock vehicles via in-game currency. Cars can also be upgraded in terms of speed, handling, and acceleration.

I love the details that went into the design of those 3D cars but Ivy doesn’t want you to use it like that yet. Street Racing 3D has customization option available for cars unlocked to suit your taste; things like colour, decals, and neon light can be applied on your choice car.

Monetization

Street Racing 3D was launched as a free-to-play game, it implemented a fair monetization system that allows you to enjoy playing even at little to no cost. It has a store loaded with in-app purchases that enables you to buy coins, diamonds and premium cars.

Purchasing these items would allow you progress faster in the game especially when you have difficult competitions to overcome. However, if you decided not to spend any money instead and walk your way up instead, it is still achievable but you will have to earn it though.

Final Thoughts

Street Racing 3D is a fun mobile racing game that does a great job of being a form of entertainment to a sizable number of casual players. It delivers an enjoyable experience that caters to the need of special categories of audience who are searching for a racing game that is smooth and still has some level of quality within while keeping the performance level on point as well.
