Design
The design of the Infinix Note 6 is very simplistic. You will notice her tiny bezels at the top and bottom. There is no notch on this one.
I kinda like the traditional small bezels on a smartphone. Am still not 100% comfortable with notch designs especially when it’s movie time.
I know you can hide it but spoiler alert am still okay with this very design. The built quality is infact awesome, It is now 67.7mm thin and feels solid in the hand.
At the top-bezels is where you will find the Receiver, front-facing flash and selfie camera. The triple AI rear cameras with dual LED flash is at the back.
There is also a fingerprint reader slightly below the cameras with Infinix brand name underneath it and of course the “Note” inscription around the lower part of the rear.
On the right side of the Infinix Note 6 is where you have the power and volume buttons. While the sim + micro SD card slot is on the left.
The power button now have a unique color that sets it apart from the other buttons. I see this trending in Nigeria these days.
At the bottom of the Infinix Note 6, you will find the 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB port, speaker grill and the sweetest of all – the X pen.
Display
We all know very well that Infinix have been doing a really good Job with her display even when they have been rocking LCD screen.
Imagine what they are capable of doing with OLED screen??
On the Infinix Note 6 is a 6.1inch OLED display with color accuracy. It maintenance a 1080 x 2160p resolution and a 100000:1 contrast ratio.
Using the Infinix Note 6 to watch movies or do some gaming is more than a pleasure in Nigeria. The display is infact crisp, clear and sharp. You will enjoy it.
Camera
Let’s talk about the camera of the Infinix Note 6 in Nigeria. Lets talk about the Triple AI shooter that’s gat some dual LED flash.
Before taking a good look at the back, let me do some Justice to the one in front. That is, the 16MP AI selfie camera with flash.
The Infinix Note 6 have a bright 16MP selfie camera that is governed by AI and a front-facing flash to keep it active at Night.
At the back of the Infinix Note 6 are three(3) AI cameras: A depth field camera, a 16MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP 120° ultra-wide camera.
The overall photographic performance of the Infinix Note 6 is wonderful. Both the selfie and rear cameras performed excellently. Am really impressed with what I saw.
Battery life
Talking about battery life, Infinix have tried to keep the Note 6 on the right track even the battery capacity they inserted into this smartphone.
You literally don’t want an Infinix Note 6 that will drain down easily in Nigeria. So infinix in her generosity decided to slot in a non-removable 4000mAh.
This is enough to serve and cater for your daily usage in Nigeria. You can even get a day 2 if you don’t do much with it.
Even when your battery drains down, recharging the Infinix Note 6 is not an issue at all. It comes with a charger that supports X-charge for fast charging.
Software & Specs
The Infinix Note 6 is well equipped with software, it comes with an Android 9.0 Pie Operating System that is based on her latest XOS 5.0 Cheetah UI.
On the inside there is a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset that runs on a 2.3GHz Octa-core processor. Also, the Infinix Note 6 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.
There is also room for expansion via micro SD card slot, up to 128GB. So you can spread your wings and put some more stuff inside.
Security features & More
The Infinix Note 6 comes with two well known security features: Face unlock and fingerprint reader. They work best at save guiding the Note 6 from Intruders.
There are also AR Emoji and AR Stickers on the Infinix Note 6. Also not forgetting the gorgeous looking X Pen that can now do some more gestures as compared to the one of last year.
You will notice the new notification reminder that was coded specifically for the X pen. It’s called ”X Pen reminder”.
The X pen reminder is good at alerting you to put the X pen back to it’s normal position. This helps to prevent misplacement.
You know how precious the X pen is!!
What’s Inside the box of the Infinix Note 6?
When you unbox the Infinix Note 6, be sure to find: a warranty card, 2 user guide, sim ejector pin, screen protector, transparent silicone case, Micro USB cable, a power adapter with x-charge support and a earpiece.
My Thoughts
The Infinix Note 6 is a mid-range smartphone that is right on time even though it didn’t get the tear drop notch design as many were expecting in Nigeria.
But that shouldn’t be a deal breaker at all. like I said earlier, am still very much cool with tiny bezels and I think the Note 6 is okay with that.
Like it or not, the Infinix Note 6 is an upgrade for the season. This is the first time we are seeing an OLED screen on the Note variant. It is something to smile for.
Am pretty sure many will be interested in exploring the beautiful display on the Infinix Note 6. This is what I love the most about this phone.
Have you seen the X pen? It’s Just a blessing to the Infinix Note 6. For those who are likely to buy this smartphone in Nigeria, I suggest you keep it well.
