It hasn’t been long since OnePlus showed the world her 7T, now they are presenting another high-end flagship to the market, they called it the OnePlus 7T Pro.
Just as the name implies, the OnePlus 7T Pro takes Technology a little higher by implementing just a few but essential upgrades that OnePlus felt enough to make a “PRO”.
The OnePlus 7T Pro is a big player when it comes to display. This should be the first thing you will notice a lot. Since the notch is gone completely, it is no surprise to see a rising pop-up selfie camera.
Now that there is a special McLaren edition that comes with a whopping 12GB RAM, I believe you will be more than happy to get this at a cheaper rate than the one Samsung is offering.

Design & Display
The Oneplus 7T Pro comes with a very stunning and impressive design that qualifies to fit in with the next set of smartphones in the coming season. Am talking 2020.
To start with, the Oneplus 7T Pro has no notch at the top, neither will you find a punch hole on the display. Everything in front is an all-screen that is large enough to serve as your mini TV in Nigeria.
The Oneplus 7T Pro comes with a large 6.67inch QHD+ OLED display with curved edges. This is a lot bigger than what you will find on most flagships in Nigeria.
I guess we are gradually moving to the era of big screens since most of the smartphone manufacturers are consistently increasing her display size almost every time a new device gets launched.
Oneplus succeeded in putting a huge display on the Oneplus 7T Pro but they took away the notch and invented a pop-up rising selfie camera that shoots out automatically.
Oneplus also redesigned the camera bump too, they even change her position. It is no longer circular as we saw on the 7T but rather vertically shaped and placed at the center.
Every other design feature on the Oneplus 7T Pro isn’t far from what we are used to seeing on most new generation Oneplus phones in Nigeria. The only difference here is that you are handling a big-sized smartphone.
Camera & Battery
interesting camera system that is right on time. I am going to begin with the selfie camera which I believe will interest you a lot.
A little centimeter behind the screen is a 16MP rising pop-up selfie camera that automatically shoots out when you need it. I must say I am highly impress to see this new adoption on the Oneplus 7T Pro.
*McLaren edition
At the rear, you will see a centrally positioned array that comprises of a 48MP f/1.6 aperture main, 8MP f/1.4 telephoto with 3x zoom and optical image stabilization and lastly a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide.
Just like we saw on the 7T, the Oneplus 7T Pro also have macro mode on her camera, this helps in taking pictures that are very close to the subject and still maintain an impressive image quality not minding the level of closeness.
The Oneplus 7T Pro camera have an excellent performance that is good enough to capture your memorable video sessions and photo scenes within and outside Nigeria.
The image coming from the camera is great and the camera app is very simplistic and easy to use. You can even switch between telephoto, regular and wide-angle mode easily.
You will also find a 4085mAh non-removable battery inside the Oneplus 7T Pro which is sufficient to cater for your daily mobile experience and still reserve some leftover for the next day.
Software & Spec
has a 90Hz refresh rate that helps in making the phone process really fast. It runs smoothly even when gaming.
The Oneplus 7T Pro comes with a snapdragon 855 plus processor, it has wrap charge 30T that helps with fast charging so you don’t have to wait that long to recharge it.
There is face unlock and an optical in-display fingerprint scanner that is really fast, let’s not forget that Oneplus have consistently the security features on her flagship fast enough to stand-out in Nigeria.
My Thoughts
When we see the “PRO” name added to the name of a flagship in Nigeria, we always expect to see some magnificent features to justify her claim and that is how it ought to be.
The Oneplus 7T Pro was able to grab some reasonable amount of upgrades even though the difference is not that much when you position it side by side with the Oneplus 7T Pro.
However, the McLaren edition says it all, a massive 12GB RAM isn’t something that is easy to find on most flagships in Nigeria. This is in fact a very strong reason to have a considerable look at the Oneplus 7T Pro.
