Google, having successfully manufactured the best camera phone in 2017 have decided to retain that title one more time with the launch of the pixel 3.
After much said and done, the much anticipated Google pixel 3 is finally here with a lot of mind blowing features that is worth your time.
Among these new set of features stock inside the pixel 3 this year are two noticeable and powerful features already making headlines in Nigeria. The first is camera while the second is software.

Price and Availability
In Nigeria, the Google pixel 3 price starts at ₦275,000, it is available in the following colors; Not pink, clearly white and just black.
Design and Display
The pixel 3did receive some minor upgrades in her design this year, it now comes with a glass body that is made of corning gorilla glass 5 and an aluminum frame.
At the back of the Pixel 3 is a shiny glass that sits at the very top while the remaining part have matte finish. In front are two powerful front-facing speakers.
The pixel 3now have an active edge that turn on google assistant when you squeeze the phone. It however has no 3.5m headphone jack.
The Pixel 3 comes in a portable size that is not intimidating at all, it does have a dimension that hit 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9mm, it is also very easy to handle even with a single hand.
Google also implemented her two-tone design on the pixel 3. This two-tone design might however appear a little bit old fashion to few persons in Nigeria but I think it best suites the phone.
The two-tone design doesn’t look the same with that of last year on the Pixel 2. It now have smaller bezels, more rounded edges and looks less boxy.
On display, the Pixel 3 comes with a 5.5inch color-rich OLED display that is one of a kind as a result of the new 18:9 aspect ratio that is spicing things up.
The 5.5 inch OLED display is much better than the one of last year, it is surrounded by smaller bezels that makes the screen look big and expansive.
Camera
The camera is the most attractive part of the pixel 3, if there is any reason why you should consider buying the pixel 3 in Nigeria, the camera should be number one.
The pixel 3 got the best camera again, it now has features you can’t find even on a professional camera. Are you for real?? Yeah, absolutely. So what’s on the camera?
At the rear of the Pixel 3 is a 12.2MP machine-learning camera that is clear and consistent, photos taken with the rear camera produced pictures with perfect quality.
The 12.2MP rear camera does have an f/1.8 aperture with new software perks like Top shot,Night sight (still to come) and super res zoom.
In front of the Pixel 3 are two 8MP front-facing cameras with f/2.2 aperture, better HDR and less noise. Both cameras are wide-angle selfie cameras.
The first has 70 degree field of view while the other has a wider 97 degree field of view. The pixel 3 can also shoot 4k videos at 30 frame per seconds; camera also have optical and electronic image stabilization.
Battery Life
The pixel 3 comes with a 2915mAh battery unit which is kind of a slight upgrade as against the one of last year in Nigeria.
Even though the battery capacity on the pixel 3 did receive an upgrade, it didn’t impress most of us in Nigeria.
In fact, the battery life on the pixel 3 did run down pretty fast when it was used to take photos consistently for about 2 hours.
This might likely be a deal breaker for some in Nigeria but thank God the pixel 3 comes with the latest Android 9.0 pie OS which now gives room for battery management.
The Google pixel 3 also comes with an 18W charger that does allows for fast charging, there is also fast wireless charging on the pixel 3 too.
Software and Performance
On software, the Pixel 3 is stock android even on the inside, it comes with Google’s latest Android 9.0 pie operating system that come with a few new changes that am sure you will get used to.
With regards to performance, the google pixel 3 is among the fastest in Nigeria, it has the latest Qualcomm snapdragon 845 chipset that helps to smooth things up with navigation.
The Pixel 3 does comes with a 4GB RAM and an optional 64GB/128GB ROM that cannot be expandable even via micro SD card which is a bit disappointing.
My thoughts
The Google pixel 3 is absolutely the best choice for anyone who is very much interested in taking pleasant photos with outstanding quality in Nigeria.
Even though the Pixel 3 is $150 more expensive that the pixel 2 of last year, it’s actually worth the extra cash. The Pixel 3 is even cheaper than most flagship phones in Nigeria.

Hi. Where can I get google pixel 3 screen in Nigeria. I really need to fixed my phone 📱…Thanks.
Sincerely, the safest screen you can get is the one from Google.it is more than sad to find no repair Google center in Africa, talk more of Nigeria. I think the best thing to do is buy a little faulty Google Pixel 3 with good screen from eBay,I don’t know where you live. Just find a good phone repairer to change the screen for you. Hope this helps.
